Tourism in Egypt

Egypt can be considered as a newcomer to the international tourism industry. Yet in a very short time, precisely in less than three decades, the country has managed to establish itself as one of the most important tourist destinations. Thus Egypt rose 1.4 million tourists and $ 304 million of income during the 80s, a workforce of 11 million visitors and revenues of 7.3 billion dollars in 2007, according to figures from National mobilization and Statistics Authority. With the development of the heritage of ancient Egypt, the country has shown a tourist profile.
